Your American Friend in Paris interviews me about Treasure of Saint-Lazare
A video discussion of the prize-winning novel, conducted by Terrance Gelenter, the dean of American expats in Paris
ON ONE OF MY STAYS IN PARIS I sat down for a video interview with Terrance Gelenter, the doyen of American expats. We talked about a lot of things, but the main subject was my novel Treasure of Saint-Lazare. It is, of course, set in Paris, and part of it is set in the area behind the Saint-Lazare railroad station.
We recorded the interview in the studio he uses to record his own podcasts, a cozy room under the roof of an apartment building near the north railroad station, Gare du Nord. The building was so atmospheric that I’ve used it as inspiration for an early and important scene in one of my upcoming novels, Washington Square.
The video is short, and I hope you enjoy it. If you run your own podcast and are looking for authors to interview, consider it an audition tape. You can reach me at jmp@jmpfl.com
Terrance, “Your American friend in Paris,” is an interesting guy. He blogs almost every day, guides tours, and sings in a café. I recommend you read his stuff here.
You can see Treasure of Saint-Lazare and the other books in my Eddie Grant Series in my Amazon showroom. Readers’ Favorite dubbed Treasure the best historical mystery of its publication year.
